God Loves YOu

HE is patiently and lovingly waiting for you to respond to His invitation to salvation.

Yes, you can receive forgiveness for your sins and assurance of eternal life through faith in His only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).

But maybe you feel like you’re missing something like you’ve got a hole inside that nothing can fill? Have you been looking high and low for what might fill that empty space? What you’ve been looking for is Jesus Christ!

Jesus came to fill the empty space in the heart of every person. He did this by dying on the cross for our sins and making a way for us to have a relationship with the Creator of the universe. He came for you and everyone. And you can invite Him to fill the emptiness in your life by taking the most important steps of your life.

Step One
Recognize that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) The emptiness you feel comes from trying to meet impossible standards of doing “good.” We can’t help but fall short because of sin. And when we fall short, we feel like something’s missing.

Step Two
Understand that “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23) Sin separates from God. Being separated from God means being spiritually dead, that empty feeling you’ve been struggling with. If you remain spiritually dead, a sinner without being reconciled to God, you’re headed for hell.

Step Three
Repent! “Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out” (Acts 3:19) Repent means to turn around and walk in a different direction. That’s what you need to do to get that emptiness filled. By repenting or turning away from your sin, you can enter into a relationship with God that promises to restore you.

Step Four
Jesus is the only way! “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) Salvation through faith in Jesus is the only way to be assured of a relationship with God and a place in heaven when you die. Not being a good person, going to church, or doing good things can give you these two things. Accept Him now and He promises to change your life and guarantee your eternity!

When you recognize: You are a sinner
That remaining in sin assures eternal death in hell
That repentance and acceptance of Jesus’ death on the cross is the only way to heaven.

You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer

Prayer is talking to God. God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”

If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, then you can pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.

Welcome to His family!

If you now believe on God and place your faith in His Son, Congratulations, and welcome to His family! You are on your way! The emptiness you’ve been longing to fill can happen and you will become a member of the family of God, assured of being with Him in Heaven!

You may wonder, now that you are a Christian, “What now?” Our greatest recommendation for believers, new and old, is fourfold:

R-ead the Bible. We encourage you to start with the Gospel of John.
E-ncounter God. Talk to Him every day in prayer.
A-ttend Church. Get connected to a local Bible-teaching church. We would love for you to come to Calvary Chapel Saving Grace.
L-et Others Know. Tell your friends and family about your commitment to Jesus.
All of these will work to encourage and build upon your faith.
